As a tutor, you are the face of your business. Your profiles - Knack, social media, or otherwise - are what you will be marketing/sharing, so it's important that they're complete, accurate, and compelling. They should look and sound, well, like you!

The components of your profile

Your picture

This may seem obvious, but it's worth noting. Your picture is often the first impression people have of you, so having a professional, high-quality profile picture is important. This will be the first step in helping students feel more comfortable with you.

Your bio

Your bio is where you differentiate yourself. It should include your expertise, background, personality, and anything else you think is relevant to share with students. Put yourself in your prospective student's shoes - what would you want to know about you?

Your pitch

Your pitch is a one sentence overview of your top selling points. It should include your top qualifications and represent your personality. It is usually the first description of you that a student sees, so make sure it makes a good first impression.

Your courses

The more courses you tutor, the more students will land on your profile. Don't forget to upload your transcript and update it each term to see which courses you're eligible to tutor for!
