We want you to be as successful in your new tutoring role as possible. This page will help guide you to do just that.

Best practices

  1. Be sure you are actively checking your Tutor Jobs feed daily for new tutoring opportunities! It usually takes about 4 or 5 quotes to get your first client, so you will want to reach out to as many students as possible.
  2. Download the Knack App on iOS or Android — this will ensure you never miss an update. If you love our app, please leave us a review in the app store!
  3. Utilize the Tutor Marketing Guide to learn how to market yourself on campus and grow your client base.
  4. Be proactive! Suggest a time for a session as soon as you get connected with a student.
  5. It is important to understand how many hours your students are able to work with you for free. From there, you can schedule sessions on a recurring basis to ensure that each one of your students takes full advantage of their free hours.
  6. To be sure that you are up to speed on the latest information, head to the Knack Help Center to familiarize yourself with different material available for tutors and students.

Expectations

  1. As a Knack Tutor, your school may require you to complete training. If required, you will need to complete training before you can begin tutoring.
  2. If you no longer wish to be a Knack Tutor or are unable to find time in your schedule, please "disable" your skills. This can be done by heading to Tutoring Courses and can be changed at any time.
